Hotels Will Be Banned From Giving Away Free Disposables

Beginning on Friday, March 29, hotels in South Korea will no longer be allowed to provide free disposable items such as toothbrushes and shampoos. This is due to the new Resource Conservation and Recycling Promotion Act announced by the Ministry of Government Legislation, which will take effect. Hotels that violate the law and provide them for free will be fined up to 3 million won. Some luxury hotels are taking measures such as installing large-capacity dispensers instead of small-capacity disposable amenities.
