Major Traffic Jam Near Pangyo IC (Gyeongbu Expressway)
A Collision Occurred On The Gyeongbu Expressway Near Pangyo IC In Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province
Around 6AM this morning, a collision occurred on the Gyeongbu Expressway near Pangyo IC in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, involving a 25-ton trailer and a 25-ton dump truck traveling towards Seoul. As a result of the accident, a man in his 60s who was driving the leading freight truck sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital, and a man in his 40s driving the following vehicle suffered minor injuries and is currently receiving treatment.
Additionally, one freight truck overturned, and another one tipped over, spilling sand onto four out of five lanes, causing traffic restrictions for over 5 hours. The police and the Korea Expressway Corporation have just completed the recovery work around 11:30 a.m., about 5 hours after the accident occurred.
