The Labor And Management Of The Seoul Transportation Corporation Reached A Deal

On November 21, the labor and management of the Seoul Transportation Corporation, which operates Seoul Subway Lines 1-8, reached a wage and collective bargaining agreement. As a result, the strike scheduled for November 22 was called off, and the Seoul subway will be operating as usual.

1. The labor and management agreed to discuss personnel adjustments that are necessary to ensure the sustainability of the Seoul Metro and decided to find concrete measures.

2. They also agreed to work together to come up with a reasonable management plan for the time-off system, which was an issue in the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s audit.

3. They also agreed to find ways to improve employee working conditions and protect the health of underground workers.
