The Largest Art Fair, Frieze & Kiaf, Is Over, With Over 80,000 Visitors

Frieze and Kiaf Seoul 2023 Come to an End

The international art fairs Frieze and Kiaf Seoul, which took the art world by storm, concluded on September 10 with the closing of Kiaf.

This is the second year that Frieze has been held in Seoul, and this time the attendance was similar to last year’s with 70,000 people.

Major sales :

1. A painting by a German painter, Georg Baselitz ($1.2 million)
2. A painting by a German painter Rosemary Trockel (€1.3 million)
3. A work by swiss-born artist Nicolas Party ($1.25 million), etc.

Kiaf 2023 With Young Artists Booming

This year’s Kiaf-Frieze was characterized by strong sales of mid-priced works by young artists born after the 1980s, and there were more than 50 related fashion and art parties in Seoul.
