In 2023, Korean Thanksgiving Day “Chuseok” is on August 29, 2023

There are two things to know about Korean Thanksgiving Day, the Chuseok 2023.

#1 — October 2, 2023 is officially designated as a temporary public holiday

The South Korean government decided to declare a temporary holiday on October 2, making Chuseok holidays up to 6 days. The decision is to ensure people’s right to get rest, boost domestic demand and encourage more Chuseok-related hometown visits.

#2 — The Discounts On The Road

During the Chuseok holiday (September 28-October 1, 2023), highway tolls will be waived and local government and public parking lots will be open to public.
