6 Mountains To Visit This Winter in South Korea

There Are Many Beautiful Mountains In Korea, Especially In The Winter, And Today We’ll Share Six Of Them With A Brief Photo And Description

1. 덕유산 Deogyusan

📍159, Gucheondong 1-ro, Seolcheon-myeon, Muju-gun, Jeonbuk-do
・ There are few tall trees, so you can enjoy a panoramic view. There is a gondola that makes it easy for beginners to get to the top, which is why it is one of the most visited mountains in winter.

2. 설악산 Seoraksan

📍1, Daecheongbong-gil, Seo-myeon, Yangyang-gun, Gangwon-do
・ It is usually the first mountain in Korea to announce the first snowfall. It has the best winter views anywhere.

3. 소백산 Sobaeksan

📍Uigok-gil, Gagok-myeon, Danyang-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do
・ Sobaeksan Mountain is covered in white snow in winter. The icicles on the branches of the trees show the essence of the snowy landscape, and it is considered a representative winter hiking spot.

4. 내장산 Naejangsan

📍1207, Naejangsan-ro, Jeongeup-si, Jeonbuk-do
・ Known for its heavy snowfall in winter, the mountain is known for its snow-covered trees and forests that stand out even more. Hikers are attracted to the mountain because of its cool breeze and the fact that they can see the snowy landscape of the surrounding mountains even if they are not high up.

5. 무등산 Moodeungsan

📍792, Mudeungsancheonwangbong-gil, Buk-gu, Gwangju
・ The unique rock formations and snowflakes that bloom on the peaks of Moodeuungsan are attractive. The towering stones at the summit blend beautifully with the snow.

6. 태백산 Taebaeksan

📍Taebaek-si, Gangwon-do
・ Taebaeksan is the seventh-highest mountain in Korea, but most of the starting points are above 800 meters and the trails are relatively gentle, making it easy to climb. It is also famous for its colorful snowflakes that can be seen on the Snow Flower Course.
