The most well-known sunrise spot in Korea that 9 out of 10 Koreans know about. Being the filming site of 1995’s legendary drama <Sandglass>, it quickly acquired fame.
The most famous “tuff cone crater” sunrise spot in Jeju that was formed by a volcanic eruption 5,000 years ago. You can see the sun slowly rising from the sea.

It’s the place where the sun rises first in inland Korea. You can enjoy open East Sea and beautiful rock cliff. In 2018, the symbol of Cabo da Roca in Sintras, Portugal was installed in Ganjeolgot.
Located at the eastern end of Pohang, it’s also one of the first places the sun rises in inland Korea. (The sun rises a minute later than Ganjeolgot.) There are the statues called “Hands of Harmony.” The left hand is on the land and the right hand is in the sea.
If you can’t go outside of Seoul, you can still enjoy the sunrise in Haneul Park. (Haneul means sky.) You can easily enjoy the sunrise as it’s located in the highlands.
