A Korean Language Tip : What Is Dol Sing (돌싱)?

DEFINITION

A form of single, it refers to a person who has returned to single life after breaking up a marriage for reasons such as divorce. In other words, it’s a neologism for divorced men and women. However, it’s also sometimes used to describe men and women who are widowed rather than divorced.

There’s a popular Korean variety show on Netflix named “돌싱글즈 (Dol-Singles).” Netflix Global translates it as “Love After Divorce”.
