A Series of Performances Showcasing Korean Culture Will Take Place In Major Cities Across Italy This Year

In 2024, in celebration of the “2024–2025 Korea–Italy Year of Mutual Cultural Exchange,” a series of performances and exhibitions showcasing Korean culture will take place in major cities across Italy. The official opening event is the performance ”Dream of the Prince,“ held at the Teatro Argentina in Rome on May 4th.

This inaugural production, curated for the Year of Mutual Cultural Exchange, blends traditional Korean music and dance, featuring Taepyeongmu (the Dance of Peace), Sarangchum (the Dance of Love), and Sogo (small drum) dance.

In October, a Korean tourism expo will take place, followed by contemporary Korean dance performances in November. Additionally, in collaboration with the Italian National Film Center, short films introducing Korea will be produced. For those in Italy interested in learning Korean or exploring Korean culture, these events offer valuable opportunities for engagement and participation!
