For the First Time Ever: Ahn Jung-geun’s “Nokjuk” Revealed

To mark Korea’s 80th Liberation Anniversary, the powerful final calligraphy of independence hero Ahn Jung-geun, titled Nokjuk (“Green Bamboo”), will be unveiled to the public. Written before his execution, Nokjuk reflects Ahn’s unshakable integrity and spirit. The phrase is from Chugu, a traditional five-character poem passed down through generations.
