Airbnb and the Seoul Tourism Organization Team Up to Boost Hiking Programs

Airbnb Is Partnering With The Seoul Tourism Organization To Launch A Hiking Tourism Campaign Throughout The Year

To make it easier for travelers to hike in Seoul, Airbnb will build a separate website and provide information on hiking in foreign languages. Steven Liu, Head of Asia-Pacific Policy at Airbnb, said, “As travel has rebounded in Asia-Pacific since last year, Seoul has emerged as the fourth most searched travel destination in the world. We look forward to working with the Seoul Tourism Organization to promote the city’s hiking tourism throughout the year.”

In 2021, Airbnb and the Seoul Tourism Organization launched a campaign to educate international travelers about the appeal of staying in a Hanok. Since then, Airbnb has created the “Hanok” category to make it easier for people around the world to stay in Korean Hanoks. Today, there are more than 800 Korean hanoks listed on Airbnb.
