Euljiro is one of the UoH team’s favorite neighborhoods in Seoul
Since 2019, it’s been called a hipster neighborhood, earning it the nickname “Hipjiro.”
Some say it will have fallen out of favor by 2023, but we don’t think that’s true. What makes Euljiro stand out is that it preserves the look of old Seoul. If you walk through the narrowest of alleys in Euljiro, you’ll find yourself in a 1950s-era Seoul building with shops. You can still feel the printing alley, as Euljiro was usually a famous area for printing factories. Nowadays, buildings without a sign serve as cafes, galleries, and wine bars. That’s the fun of finding pearls in the dirt. There are so many precious wine bars, but here we are introducing seven to try.
