Best and Worst Countries for Living Abroad – Where is the Rank of Korea?

According to the Expat Insider 2022 survey by InterNations (the largest expat community), Mexico, Indonesia, Taiwan, Portugal, Spain, the UAE, Vietnam, Taiwan, Australia, and Singapore are chosen to be the best destinations for expats.

Indicators include : Quality of Life, Ease of Settling In, Working Abroad, and Personal Finance.

The bottom 3 nations out of 52 are Kuwait (52th), New Zealand, and Hong Kong – due to low scores in personal finances.

South Korea was ranked in 40th out of 52th. This shows that expats in Korea show lower levels of satisfaction.

For this year’s survey, 11,970 exats representing 177 nationalities have provided information on different aspects of expat life.
