Collision Between KTX-Mugunghwa Train at Seoul Station

4 people were injured in a collision between a KTX train and a Mugunghwa-ho train at Seoul Station on the Gyeongbu Line today. One person was transferred to the hospital, while the other three received on-site treatment and returned home.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has deployed a railway disaster response team to investigate the exact cause of the accident, and Korail plans to cover the medical expenses for the accident victims.

All 287 passengers on the KTX train and those waiting to board the Mugunghwa-ho train were transferred to alternative trains. The departure of the Mugunghwa-ho train was delayed by 35 minutes, while the KTX-Sancheon train was delayed by 25 minutes.
