Daejeon Metropolitan City Has Announced That It Will Offer Marriage Incentives Of Up To 5 Million Won To Unmarried Couples From 2025 To 2026

The policy is part of the “HONEY Daejeon Project, a livable place for young newlyweds,” which will comprehensively support young people in meeting, marrying, settling in, and raising a family.

What Kind Of City Is Daejeon?

Daejeon is one of the five largest cities in South Korea and is located in the center of the country. It is a metropolitan city consisting of five wards and 79 neighborhoods, with a population of 1.5 million people and an area of 540 square kilometers. Of these, Yuseong-gu is the largest at 176.4㎢, followed by Dong-gu, Seo-gu, Daedeok-gu, and Jung-gu.
