Let me introduce you to a Korean dish called “Dakhanmari.”
Dakhanmari is a hot pot dish where chopped chicken is boiled in a broth made with ingredients like green onions and onions. It is seasoned with pepper, spices, garlic, and ginger. The dish is prepared in a hot pot style, and it is typically seasoned with kimchi and a special sauce. You can also add rice cakes or Kalguksu (hand-cut noodles) and dip the cooked chicken in a soy sauce-based dipping sauce that includes mustard.
Not many Korean dishes originate from Seoul, but Dakhanmari is an exception. What sets this dish apart from Baeksuk (a simple chicken soup) is that it includes Kalguksu noodles cooked in the chicken broth as part of the meal. Enjoy the tender, well-cooked chicken and the noodles together with flavorful kimchi. This dish offers a warm and hearty taste of Seoul!
