Design of The Hyundai Gwangju Is Revealed

Gwang-joo City Has Unveiled The Design For ‘The Hyundai Gwang-joo.’

The design is by Herzog & de Meuron, winners of the Pritzker Architecture Prize, often referred to as the Nobel Prize of architecture. The building will cover a total floor area of 300,000 square meters and will incorporate Gwang-joo’s traditions, cultural heritage, and future technologies. It is set to be 1.5 times the size of The Hyundai Seoul, located in Yeouido, Seoul.

The CEO of Hyundai Department Store stated that The Hyundai Gwang-joo is an unprecedented endeavor. Once completed, it will be recognized worldwide for its architecture, space, and content. Construction is set to begin in 2025, with completion aimed for the end of 2027.
