Have You Heard About A Grammy Award-winning South Korean Soprano ‘Sumi Jo’?

Sumi Jo 조수미 is a South Korean international opera star, known to be one of the most accomplished sopranos of our time. Her voice is dreamy yet powerful. Born in 1962, she still actively appears on TV.

– Herbert von Karajan, one of the greatest conductors of the 20th century said, “Her voice is the best gift God has given.”

– Sumi is the first Asian soprano to win La Siola d’Oro (“Golden Swallow”), a biennial opera prize awarded in Gatteo since 1983.

– She is the winner of Grammy Award for Best Opera Recording in 1993.
