HYBE Has Generated Over 1 Trillion KRW in Revenue From Idol Merchandise Sales Over the Past Three Years

HYBE has reportedly generated approximately 1.208 trillion Korean won in revenue from idol merchandise sales over the past three years, accounting for 19.5% of HYBE’s total revenue.

This year, albums and music accounted for the largest portion of HYBE’s total revenue at 39.4%, while merchandise sales closely followed concert sales, making it the third-largest revenue category. However, the penalty paid for rejecting or limiting legitimate return requests, considered an “abuse of power,” was found to be only 3 million won.

HYBE is an entertainment lifestyle platform that was founded as Big Hit Entertainment on February 1, 2005, by Bang Si-hyuk, who previously worked as the chief composer at JYP Entertainment from 1997 to 2005.
