Hyundai Motor Has Reached A Milestone of Producing 100 Million Vehicles

Hyundai achieved this remarkable feat 57 years after it was founded in 1967, making it one of the fastest automakers to reach this mark among global giants like Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, and Toyota. Hyundai is also on the verge of surpassing 100 million units in cumulative sales. Currently, it takes automakers with nearly a century of history, such as Volkswagen, to reach 100 million in cumulative sales.

Hyundai Motor was established through a joint venture negotiation with Ford in the 1960s. The company took its first steps by building an assembly plant in Ulsan and importing Ford’s ”Cortina 2nd generation model“ for production. At the time, it was a bold move for a newly established automaker to build a factory and begin assembly production.

Today, Hyundai vehicles are produced in various locations around the world, including the United States, the Czech Republic, and India. We look forward to Hyundai Motor‘s continued achievements.
