Throughout the upcoming month of May, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art will be offering free weekend admission as part of the “2024 Museum and Art Museum Week,” aiming to enhance accessibility and provide cultural services. All branches of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (Seoul, Gwacheon, Deoksugung, Cheongju) will be open free of charge for a total of eight weekends (Saturday, Sunday).
The MMCA stands for the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, which is the representative national art museum of South Korea. It was established with the opening of the Gwacheon branch in 1986, the Deoksugung branch in 1998, the Seoul branch in 2013, and the Cheongju branch in 2018.
Hope you take advantage of the pleasant May weather to immerse yourself in the diverse exhibitions and draw inspirations!
