Kids Cafe: How Kids Play These Days in Korea

Kids cafe, heaven for kids

What would it look like if there was a wonderland for children? Maybe, something like Korea’s kids cafe? A kids cafe is an indoor playground that’s one of the popular places for Korean children. Kids under the age of 11 usually visit kids cafes.

Kids cafes first appeared as a space for children with learning or development problems. The characteristics of kids cafes have evolved over time and their services have changed a lot from the first. As the number of only-child families has soared, kids cafes are becoming more and more popular as attention and love are even more concentrated on that one child.

What do they have?

A kids cafe provides a play area for children and helps promote children’s physical development through various experience programs. It has various amusement facilities, such as trampolines, playgrounds, car racing places, and ball pools that kids can freely use and jump around.

Heaven for parents too

The important thing is that a kids cafe has a space for parents too. Because they can leave their children running around the place, many parents use it as a meeting place where they can have a cup of coffee and share parenting tips.
