Korea to Lift Indoor Mask Mandate on January 30

Wearing an indoor mask will no longer be mandatory from January 30. The government has chosen the date after the Lunar New Year holiday, considering the increased face-to-face contact during the holiday.

However, wearing masks in medical institutions, pharmacies, and public transportation (bus, subway, taxi) will be maintained for now.
