Korean Athletes Competing In The 2024 Paris Paralympic Games Will Receive Korean Lunch Boxes Through A Local Meal Support Center
The Korea Paralympic Committee has arranged to provide 170-180 Korean lunch boxes daily, each valued at 30,000 won, to enhance the performance of the Korean team.This reflects the commitment to ensure that each athlete participating in the Paralympics receives at least one Korean meal per day.
Typically, a Korean lunch box will be provided once a day. However, athletes who need to manage their weight will receive simpler meals, such as porridge. In addition to the lunch boxes, three side dishes will also be provided. The meal will be based on rice and soup, with 8-9 different side dishes offered.The meal preparation starts at 3AM, and the lunch boxes are packed in insulated containers to keep them warm or cold. They will be delivered to the athletes in four separate batches throughout the day.Eating your own country’s food while you’re abroad can really give you a boost.
