Korean Pianist Yunchan Lim Becomes the Youngest Winner of the Cliburn Competition

Korean Pianist Yunchan Lim, 18, has become the youngest winner of the 2022 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. This competition took place in Fort Worth, Texas. Yunchan is the youngest ever winner of the gold medal for this competition. He started his piano competition career at 14.

The Van Cliburn International Piano Competition (The Cliburn) is an American piano competition by The Cliburn, first held in 1962 in Fort Worth, Texas, and hosted by the Van Cliburn Foundation. The Van Cliburn Competition is held once every four years! The competition is highly praised with the 3 biggest piano competitions including International Frederick Chopin Piano Competition, Tchaikovsky Competition, and Queen Elizabeth Competition.
