Main Branch of Shinsegae Department Store in Seoul Completes Exterior Renovation After 93 Years

Are you familiar with the Shinsegae Department Store located in Myeongdong? After 93 years, its exterior is being replaced. A massive digital signage will be installed.

Since it opened in 1930 as the first department store in Korea, this marks the first change in 93 years. The neighborhood around the Shinsegae Department Store Main Branch is still home to historic buildings like the Bank of Korea. With the addition of the digital signage, this area will become a landmark in Seoul where one can glimpse both the past and the future at once.
