
According to the Seoul Metro, the “Multilingual Simultaneous Conversation System” will be expanded at 11 subway stations, including Myeong-dong Station, Hongik University Station, and Gimpo Airport Station, where many international visitors use.
This system allows international visitors and station staff to converse in their respective languages through automatic interpretation displays, with translated text appearing on the screen. It supports a total of 13 languages, including English, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Malay, Indonesian, Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Russian, and Korean.
In addition to simultaneous conversations, supplementary services such as route search based on subway maps, transfer and travel time information, fare guidance, and the status of T-Luggage lockers can also be checked in 13.
