On October 1, 2024, “Armed Forces Day” In South Korea Has Been Designated As A Temporary Public Holiday
During the State Council meeting, the Prime Minister stated that given the current severe security situation due to North Korea’s repeated provocations and conflicts in the Middle East, this year’s Armed Forces Day has been designated as a temporary public holiday to raise national awareness about the importance of national security and to remind the public of the role of our military and the dedication of our service members.
May this day be used meaningfully to honor the efforts of our armed forces.
