JTBC’s new drama “Good Boy”, set to air later this year, is a comic action-investigation drama about medalists who become police officers as an Olympic specialty and fight against a world of unscrupulous commercialism and cheating

Director & Writer

Directed by Shim Na-yeon, who directed the dramas “The Good Bad Mother,” “Beyond Evil,” and “At Eighteen,” and written by Lee Dae-il, who wrote “Chief of Staff,” “Life on Mars,” and “Bring It On, Ghost,” the drama is one of JTBC’s most anticipated projects of 2024, with actors Park Bo-gum and Kim So-hyun confirmed to star.

Park Bo-gum‘s Role

He will play Yoon Dong Joo, an Olympic boxing gold medalist who became a police officer as an Olympic specialty. With his talent, he becomes an Olympic hero, but after suffering a setback, he starts a second life as a police officer. The movie is expected to show how the young cop regains his fighter instinct in the face of unbearable injustice.

Kim So-hyun’s Role

She will star as Ji Hanna, an Olympic shooting gold medalist whose good looks have made her a public favorite. However, a shocking event forces her to give up shooting and become a police officer. She plays a charming character who is usually calm and quiet, but at the same time, she is brutally honest and straightforward.
