Psy’s summer concert “The Water Show”, which had to stop for 3 years due to the pandemic, is coming back on July, 2022. The concert series will be held in 8 cities across the nation (Incheon, Seoul, Suwon, Gangreung, Yeosu, Daegu, Busan, and Chungju). The Water Show is famous for 1) Psy’s passionate performance and 2) the amount of water they use. The concert requires approximately 300 tons of water so that the crowd can cool down from the summer heat of Korea.

Some negative opinions have been raised about the concert using approximately 300 tons of water as severe drought has continued this year. Many farmers and people in agricultural fields in Korea are currently suffering from severe water scarcity.

Some people say, “Wasting this much water just for fun is inappropriate while others suffer from drought”, but others also say, “There’s no problem in this concert series. If Psy’s concert has to close down, then pools, waterparks, saunas, and all the other places using water should close down as well.”
