RM’s Second Solo Album, <Right Place, Wrong Person>, Has Been Named ‘Best Album of the First Half of 2024’ By Billboard, Rolling Stone, And NME

Notably, Billboard praised the album, stating, ”BTS expanded the boundaries of K-pop, but RM shattered the perception of boundaries in K-pop itself with tracks encompassing various genres such as jazz, funk, R&B, and Afrobeat.“ In particular, the high production quality achieved through the participation of various artists was noted.

The album also received high praise for effectively conveying heavy emotions such as internal conflict, anxiety, and anger to the listener through its lyrics and production. The organic arrangement of the tracks further enhanced the album‘s overall cohesiveness. RM participated in writing the lyrics for all 11 tracks on the album, which encapsulates the emptiness of a lost wanderer.
