Samsung Electronics and ASML to Build Advanced Semiconductor Research Facility in South Korea

South Korea’s Samsung Electronics And Dutch Semiconductor Equipment Company ASML Have Agreed To Build A Research Facility In South Korea

Together, they will invest KRW 1 trillion to build a research facility in South Korea to develop ultra-fine advanced semiconductor process technology. They will also establish a Korean-Dutch “Advanced Semiconductor Academy” to train 500 high-level workers in the field of advanced semiconductors over the next five years.

The agreement was signed between business and government on the occasion of President Yoon Suk Yeol’s state visit to the Netherlands.
