Seoul Light Han River Bitseom Festival 2023 is Opening in Korea

Seoul will host the “Seoul Light Han River Bitseom Festival 2023“ from October 6 to 15, 2023, at Banpo Seoraeseom Island and Banpo Han River Park.

It runs daily from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Opening day is 7. p.m. to 9 p.m.

It is Seoul’s largest waterfront laser art and citizen participation festival, held for 10 days on the Han River.

The festival, the first step in laser art in Seoul, consists of programs with the keywords Bitseom 3Ls (Light Run, Laser Art, and Lecture).

For example, the Light Run is a visual running program where citizens wearing light t-shirts run along the

Han River with light batons.

Other interesting programs include Laser Art, an exhibition that gives a glimpse of various light dynamics, and Light Island Lecture, an outdoor lecture performance that introduces realistic media art works and technologies.
