On July 1, 2023, the 24th Seoul Queer Festival Parade will be held around Euljiro district. The organizing committee expected more than 50,000 people to participate in the parade.
Instead, it allowed the event requested by the Christian organization. The Seoul Queer Parade began in 2000 and has been held in Seoul Plaza every year since 2015 (except during the pandemic period). But this year, it will be held in Euljiro.
Every time the Seoul Queer Culture Parade was held, the Christian organizations also held a protest against the parade on the opposite side of the Seoul Plaza.
The parade will start from Samil-daero, go through Myeongdong Station, Sogong-ro, Seoul Plaza, and Jonggak Station, and march back to Samil-daero.
The Korea Queer Film Festival will also be held during the festival period. A total of 42 films from 16 countries will be screened online and offlin
