The Seoul Metropolitan Government Has Announced That It Will Select An Annual Seoul Color Of The Year. In 2024, The First Color Will Be “Sky Coral.”

The “Sky Coral” color is derived from the pink sky of the Han River, which was the most popular place for Seoulites to go for leisure activities this year. According to a report that predicted Seoulites’ lifestyles and trends for the coming year by analyzing key interests and places in their daily lives, the biggest keyword was the Han River. The Han River was found to be the most visited place for leisure activities by Seoulites this year as the COVID-19 pandemic gradually subsided.

Pink Sunset And Sky Coral

The most popular time for people to visit the Han River was from 5 to 7 p.m. to watch the sunset, and especially from June to September, when temperatures are high, the search volume for “pink sunset” spiked. In response, Sky Coral was developed as the first Seoul color. Experts from various fields, including environment, visual, fashion, and design, as well as color, participated in the development of the Seoul color.

From now on, the color of Seoul will be selected annually and used on major landmarks and merchandise in the city!
