Seoul’s Newly Designed Street Trash Cans

Seoul Metropolitan Government has developed a new design of “Seoul-style roadside trash bins” that make it easy to dispose of and collect garbage. The Seoul city collaborated with citizens, environmental officials, and experts to explore new designs that could reduce the negative image of trash bins.

Currently, Seoul has installed pilot versions at 15 locations in the downtown area, including Seoul City Hall and Dongdaemun Design Plaza. They plan to further refine the design and expand its application through local districts in the future.
