Cheongju is a traditional Korean rice wine made from grains. It is produced by saccharifying and fermenting rice using nuruk—a fermentation starter made by cultivating mold and yeast on grain powder. This new product has an alcohol content of 7% and is lightly carbonated. It is infused with elderberry concentrate and natural red apple flavor, giving it a refreshing taste.

2. Voila Cocktail by BREWGURU

Volia, derived from the French word meaning “ta-da!”, takes its name from the idea of fresh fruit magically appearing. Volia is a gin-based canned cocktail featuring two of the most popular varieties: Gin & Tonic and Gin Fizz. Each can contains fresh lime or lemon slices, enhancing the fruity freshness just like in a real cocktail. The alcohol content is 4.9% and 6.0%, respectively, closely replicating the strength of cocktails served in a bar.

3. Ghanadi Snack by CU

Ghanadi Snack is a new product available at CU convenience stores in Korea. The highlight of this snack is the sticker—each bag comes with a collectible sticker. The “Banaring” flavor has a tangy banana flavor, while “Choco Star” tastes like chocolate corn. For reference, Ghanadi is a popular emoticon character from Korea’s leading messenger app, KakaoTalk. It’s a white dog, believed to be a male Maltese, and its charm comes from its adorably silly appearance.
