SM Entertainment Is Launching Its First Boy Group In The UK

The 5-member group, formed through a collaboration between SM Entertainment’s North America unified corporation with Kakao Entertainment and UK entertainment company Moon & Back, aims to capture overseas markets including Europe and the United States.

A 6-part TV Series Documenting Their Growth Process Will Be Aired On BBC

The series will showcase their K-pop training journey and transformation into musicians during their 100-day stay in Seoul, leading up to their debut in the latter half of this year.

Some Background Information On SM Entertainment

It is one of the four major entertainment agencies in South Korea. Among the four major agencies, it has the longest history as a leading K-POP agency. The company name is derived from the English initials of its founder, Lee Soo-Man. It was the first in the country to establish various elements of the K-POP production system, such as the trainee training system, A&R team, and songwriting camps. Additionally, it has expanded into managing actors and entertainers, broadcasting production, and performance entertainment. Since its establishment, it has launched prominent artists including H.O.T., S.E.S., Shinhwa, Fly to the Sky, BoA, TVXQ, SUPER JUNIOR, Girls’ Generation, SHINee, f(x), EXO, Red Velvet, NCT, aespa, and RIIZE.
