South Korea To Reach Asian Cup Semi-Final

The South Korean National Soccer Team Has Qualified For The Semi-finals Of The 2023 AFC Qatar Asian Cup

The team defeated Australia 2-1 last night in the quarterfinals after another extra-time shootout. Hwang Hee-chan‘s goal in the 31st minute was disallowed due to an offside flag, and the team conceded an early goal to Australia in the 42nd minute.

Hwang Hee-chan then converted a penalty kick from Son Heung-min in the second half of stoppage time, sending the game into overtime. In the 14th minute of the overtime, Son Heung-min scored a perfect free kick to pull off the comeback.

The winner of this match will face a rematch against Jordan, who reached the semi-finals of the tournament for the first time ever.
