Lee Jung-hoo, A 25 Years-Old Baseball Player, Has Joined The Big Leagues After Becoming The Highest-Paid Free Agent In The Posting (undisclosed competitive bid) In South Korean History

The San Francisco Giants officially announced the signing of Lee Jung-Hoo on their official social media accounts, posting a welcome message in both English and Korean, “Welcome to the San Francisco Giants, Jung-hoo”. The team has not yet disclosed the details of the contract, but several local media outlets in the United States, including MLB.com, the New York Post, and The Athletic, have reported the size of Lee’s contract as a six-year, $113 million contract.

He started his professional career in 2017 and has played in 884 games so far this year, batting. 340 with 65 home runs, 515 RBIs, 69 doubles, and an OPS of 0.898. This is the highest batting average of any player in the KBO with more than 3,000 plate appearances. This season, he only played in 86 games due to an ankle injury. His projections for 2023 include a .318 batting average, six home runs, and 45 RBIs.
