The 5 Best Coffee Shops to Work in Seoul

Since remote work has increased in popularity over the past few years, it makes sense that people are searching for places to get work done. In Seoul, coffee shops act in many different ways, and there are many of them that are just perfect for having a coffee while getting work done.

So here are 5 coffee shops that we recommend for our friends at UoH.

1. FOREPLAN

Café FOREPLAN was created by architects, and this place is filled with its wooden fittings, neutral hues, and neat, geometric arrangement. The tables are decked out with office stands and desk mats, giving the impression that you are in an architect’s office, while the walls are lined with file boxes. You can enjoy not only delicious coffee but also a substantial brunch menu, such as filling salads, sandwiches, and fish steaks.

2. PROTOKOLL

PROTOKOLL is a German word meaning storage device or record, and the cafe’s name conveys the idea that customers will use the coffeeshop as a space to create their own archives. The house-roasted coffee is tasty, and the relaxing music and spacious tables demonstrate the cafe’s attention to detail.

  • Address : 2nd Floor, 109, Yeonhui-ro, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, Korea
  • Hours : 10:30a.m.-8p.m.

3. cociety Seoul Forest

Cociety is a sleek, gray, and minimalistic structure. It looks like it’s partially an office and partially a cafe. There is a coffee shop, an outdoor terrace where you can unwind under the trees, and many other spaces. Society serves as a multipurpose venue for a range of events, such as fashion shows, photo shoots, and exhibitions.

  • Address : 2-20, Wangsimni-ro, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, Korea
  • Hours : 12p.m.-8p.m. (Closed on Mondays)

4. Terarosa Cafe Hannam

The coffee shop Terrarosa began in Gangneung and now has locations all throughout the nation, but I highly recommend the Hannam branch because it’s peaceful and offers a nice ambiance for working or having meetings.

  • Address : 15, Itaewon-ro 36-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, Korea
  • Hours : 9a.m.-9p.m.

5. Lumberjack Buamdong

This cafe has the appeal of a log cabin; while the front oddly evokes an expensive dining establishment, the interior is cozier and more homey. There is something antiquated about everything, from the wooden counter door to the menus printed on parchment-style paper and attached to logs. A duplex, it is. It has a distinctive atmosphere.

  • Address : 151, Changuimun-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul, Korea
  • Hours : 12p.m.-12a.m. (Closed on Mondays)
