The Cafe You Should Visit When You’re in Namhae

Koreans call the places that one frequently visits 단골집, (pronounced “Dangoljip”). Here, “jip” means a house. ‘JanJan’ has become my 단골집 in Namhae.
Located in between rustic buildings, the cafe unleashes its unique vibe. With a surfing boat, a diving suit, and other ocean-like stuff, it feels like I have suddenly come to Hawaii.
I can feel that the owner had decorated the cafe with all his heart.
On the counter, there’s a note saying, “I’m slow!!! Be prepared!” It shows how confident he is with making coffee 😉 The drinks come out a bit late than other cafes, but because coffee tastes so good, it doesn’t really matter.

JanJan Chewy Churros 30cm (takes 15-20mins) (It’s not fried but baked in the oven. It’s crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside)

Its signature menu is a coconut smoothie coffee, but my favorite one is a latte. He always gives a mini size Twix with a cup of coffee!

???? Sangju Silver Sand Beach is right in front of the cafe. You can reserve the Picnic Set and enjoy time at the beach.
