Based in Seoul, South Korea, Over The Pitch, a brand and creative studio, commemorates FC Bayern’s visit with a unique Korean name and number set. Inspired by architecture from both Korea and Germany, the designs feature themes of eaves and Bauhaus. The away jersey printing draws from traditional Korean architecture, particularly the eaves, integrating glossy patterns reminiscent of Korea’s unique culture, such as dancheong motifs, symbolizing strength and Korean aesthetics in Munich.
The home jersey printing draws from German motifs, inspired by the Bauhaus style that marked a milestone in global architecture and design. The design features minimalistic shapes, incorporating Korean elements like the Taegeuk pattern within the numbering. Emphasizing simplicity, the Bavarian pattern is expressed with gloss atop the Taegeuk pattern.
These jerseys will soon be worn by players during FC Bayern’s upcoming matches in Seoul. To ensure accessibility for fans attending these matches, Over The Pitch’s FCB pop-up store will offer on-site sales and pre-orders. You can find more detailed schedules on Over the Pitch’s Instagram.
