The GTX-A Train Begins Its Operation In South Korea

The GTX-A Train Service Now Begins In Korea

Initially, three stations: Suseo, Seongnam, and Dongtan, will be opened. With a speed exceeding twice that of the subway, passengers can travel from Suseo to Dongtan in just 20 minutes at a speed of 180km/h. Particularly beneficial for residents of distant areas from Seoul or those experiencing inconvenience in commuting to subway stations via city buses, the GTX line will serve as a new solution.

The fare structure comprises a basic fare of 3,200 won for up to 10km, with an additional 250 won per 5km. Therefore, the fare for the Suseo-Dongtan section is 4,450 won, but with the refund system to be implemented from May, it can be reduced to the 3,000 won range.

By 2028, the entire GTX-A route will be connected from Paju to Dongtan.
