The Hair and Makeup Styling in the New Song “Bubble Gum” by the Korean Group NewJeans

If you’re interested in Korean idols, you might be aware of recent news that has gained significant attention in Korea. It involves a dispute between the CEO of NewJeans’ agency, Min Hee-jin of ADOR, and ADOR’s parent company, HYBE. Since the outcome is still pending, UoH hasn’t covered it yet, but we’ll consider to cover in the near future if the opportunity arises.

Anyway, amidst this conflict, the music and music video for NewJeans’ new song “Bubble Gum” were released. Despite the dispute, it has garnered love, surpassing 10 million views in just one day. 

Today, we wanted to share and talk about the hair styling and makeup of “Bubble Gum.” With their short hair and hippie perm, NewJeans’ returns with a city pop and Y2K vibe. They effortlessly exude naturalness even without flashy accessories like hats, sunglasses, or headbands. The makeup also maintains NewJeans’ natural feel, bringing coolness and freshness. It’s a pleasure to see the “Bubble Gum” styling. 

One netizen commented, “Although the members of NewJeans were born in the 2000s, for some reason, I feel a longing and nostalgia for the 1990s.” It’s a reminder of the truth that music and style can transcend eras.
