[elementor-template id=”2839″]

How many movies by the director Bong Joon-ho did you watch? ????

The movie 괴물 (The Host) is the third film directed by Bong Joon-ho (who made the movie Parasite!). The story begins as an American military base releasing toxic chemicals in the drain of the Han River. A few years later, a huge monster came out of the Han River and attacked people. Many people were killed and taken by this monster, which includes Hyun-seo. It’s about the story of Hyun-seo’s family, trying to rescue her from the monster.

  • Director: Bong Joon-ho
  • Release year: 2006
  • Genre: Thriller, Drama, SF
  • Starring: Song Kang-ho, Park Hae-il, Bae Doona, Ko Asung, Byun Hee-bong and more

Interestingly, the director Bong had decided to produce this movie ever since he saw an unknown creature falling off the Han River bridge when he was 19 years old. ????

What I like about this movie is that it’s not a simple movie to kill time with a lot of crashing cars and people fighting over a monster. It satires the government and society as a whole in Bong Joon-ho’s way. At the time of its release, over 10 million audiences went to the theater to watch his movie.

✅ It’s on Netflix!
