The Men’s And Women’s MVPs of the Asian Games in South Korea Have Been Announced

Kim Woo-min and Lim Si-hyeon were named the best performing South Korean male and female athletes at the Hangzhou Asian Games

In addition to winning gold in the 800-meter freestyle relay, Kim also won gold in the 800-meter freestyle and 400-meter freestyle at the Games.

He became the third South Korean swimmer to win three medals at a single Asian Games, following Choi Yun-hui at New Delhi in 1982 and Park Tae-hwan at Doha 2006 and Guangzhou 2010.

Archery’s Lim Si-hyeon

The youngest member of the archery team Lim won three medals. She won gold in the mixed event, women’s team event, and women’s individual event.

It is the first time in 37 years that a South Korean has won three archery titles at an Asian Games.

The women’s individual gold medal was also the first in nine years since 17th Asian Games in Incheon 2014.

This is the first time to Select the Asian Gaems MVP Among Korean Athletes that the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee has promoted the selection of an Asian Games MVP among Korean athletes. It was voted on by a panel of journalists covering the Hangzhou Asian Games.
