The Number Of Foreign Tourists From January to June 2023 was 565,226

According to a report by the Busan Tourism Organization, the number of foreign tourists from January to June 2023 was 565,226, an increase of 529.7% from the same period last year. By nationality, Americans accounted for the largest number of users at 94,000, followed by Chinese at 68,000, Austrians at 54,000, Japanese at 53,000, and Hong Kongers at 34,000.

The Most Visited Areas Of Busan By Foreign Visitors Were As Follows

The No. 1 area was Jagalchi Market and Gukje Market in Jung-gu, with more than 77,000 visitors. This was followed by 70,000 visitors to Seomyeon,62,000 visitors to the BIFF (BUSAN International Film Festival) Square area, 60,000 visitors to Haeundae Beach, and 60,000 visitors to Haeundae Market.

Foreign travelers spent the most money on accommodation, followed by department stores and duty-free shops, and then discount stores and supermarkets.
