On June 1, 2024, Haeundae Beach and Songjeong Beach in Busan will partially open. The Haeundae District of Busan has announced that during the partial opening period, safety facilities such as watchtowers and buoys will be installed on the beaches, and water rescue personnel will be deployed. The watchtowers are expected to be painted in various colors to help swimmers easily signal their location in case of emergencies.

The beaches will be open daily from 9 AM to 6 PM. Starting in July, the beaches will fully open for two months with various recreational activities.
