The Uniforms that the Korean Team Will Wear at the 2024 Paris Olympics

MUSINSA‘s casual wear brand, MUSINSA Standard, has unveiled the uniforms that the Korean national team will wear at the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2024 Paris Olympics. The design has received praise for its sophistication, making it difficult to distinguish from everyday wear. MUSINSA Standard gained recognition for its trendy design when it first created uniforms for the Hangzhou Asian Games last year, and now it has been entrusted with designing uniforms for the Paris Olympics this year.

According to MUSINSA Standard, the Korean team’s uniforms are crafted in a ”Belted Suit Setup“ featuring shades of blue. Specifically, the design incorporates a subdued shade of byeokcheong color (the color of a verdigris-like green tinged with aged copper), symbolizing the East and reflecting youthful vigor and a progressive spirit.

Considering the hot Paris weather, the uniforms are made from summer-weight wool fabric, comprising a blazer and slacks setup. The blazer lining features traditional blue and white porcelain patterns, highlighting Korea‘s cultural heritage. Additionally, a reinterpretation of the traditional sash worn with ceremonial attire has been specially crafted as a belt.

Cooling materials are used for the t-shirt, complemented by white sneakers and a silver pendant necklace with the Taegeuk pattern. The logos ”TeamKorea“ are embossed on the inside collar of the blazer, t-shirt, slacks, and sneakers.
